Milas-Bodrum Airport is an international airport that serves the Turkish towns of Bodrum and Milas in the Republic of Turkey. The airport is located 36 kilometers northeast of Bodrum and 16 kilometers south of Milas just north of the Güllük intersection. The new international terminal – Turkish: Dış Hatlar was completed in 2000 is a 15-minute walk across a grass field from the old terminal – Turkish: İç Hatlar which is now used for domestic flights. The terminals host about 2.5 million travelers per year and are busy mainly during the peak summer tourism season. The airport has one concrete surfaced runway that is 3,000 meters long and 45 meters wide. There is also a new terminal building have completed in 2012 that designed to accept 5 million passengers per year and planning to open at the end of the year 2011. In the first 11 months of 2010 there were 1,125,957 domestic passengers and 1,902,460 international paasengers through the airport.
Highway D330 can be found on the eastern side of the airport’s International Terminal, linking the grounds to both Milas (16 km / 10 miles) and Bodrum (40 km / 25 miles). Those choosing to rent a car and the airport will find that Milas is just a 20-minute drive away, with Bodrum being around a 40-minute drive.

NEW INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL OF BODRUM AIRPORT
THE NEW international terminal of Milas airport in Bodrum is due to be completed in spring 2012.
The construction works started in 2009 with Turkish sub-contractors, however in February 2011 all the rights to complete the works were overtaken by a major Italian construction company “Astaldi”.
The new terminal with the area of 95,000 sqm will have 9 boarding bridges in total with the one that will be able to accept large jumbo planes catering with two separate gate entrances.
There will be 66 check-in desks, high tech security systems, Led information screens, baggage handling system as well as underground parking for 750 cars.
The terminal will be able to accept annually up to 5 million passengers and serve about 40 different destinations, which means a significant increase in passenger traffic.
The existing terminals will continue operating for domestic flights.
